Title: Scan Stocks Crashes
Post by: Tony on August 25, 2023, 07:31:53 AM
Hi Sacha. I hope all is well with you.

I discovered an issue with scanning stocks.
If I have a CSV file with Tickers, Name, Exchange in columns.
And if the Name has a comma in it, Stockalyze seems to treat it as a tab stop when it wants to add missing tickers to the database, and crashes.
When I removed all commas from my list Stockalyze ran successfully.

I can get around it by removing commas.

Thanks,
Tony

Well, I'm an idiot. I discovered that the delimiters were set to TAB and COMMA. Which makes sense that it would treat those commas as delimiters.

My bad. Sorry.

Hi Tony, I am glad you found the solution to the problem but Stockalyze shouldn't crash, no matter what the input is. Can you please post the file here and a screenshot of the dialog? That will help me create the same crash here and then I will make a fix.

Thanks
