Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / Re: Chart Templates
March 07, 2023, 04:52:06 PM
Hi Tony,
Sorry for replying late. I have made the changes as you suggested. It was a nice suggestion, so I just went ahead and implemented it. Please update your Stockalyze and let me know your feedback.
One thing I would like to add is 'Don't ask me again' checkbox. But may be I will add that later.

Thanks,
Sacha

Feature & Enhancement Requests / Re: Portfolio Import
January 05, 2023, 03:09:42 AM
As of now it is not possible.
To import a portfolio you also need to have data for the quantity, price, and date. So you will need a csv file that has all these data and not only symbols.

I have added it in my backlog and will probably add this feature in the future version.

Hi Tony,
Happy new year.

I am able to see the issue myself. I will work on it and improve this.
Thanks for reporting. You will hear from me soon.

Happy Stockalyzing,
Sacha.

Hi Sachin,
Thanks for your suggestion, and I think you can achieve what you are looking for in the current version of Stockalyze itself.
For stock scanning and backtesting, there already exists a feature to use stocks from a portfolio, or a watchlist, or import a list of stock symbols present in a text file. For detail you can watch this video: https://youtu.be/5cIvkPF0MFk?t=138. The link will start from the relevant part of the video that shows how you can use stock lists from a text file. If you want you can watch the video from the start too.
Please let me know if this is what you are looking for or you want something else.

I forgot to work on this but the new update now contains the fix.
Please give it a try.

Thanks for reporting. I have fixed this too. Please install the latest Stockalyze.

Quote from: 10jqka2 on September 23, 2022, 02:26:36 AMHi, sorry for replying to your message so late.
Chinese users generally use the following URL to obtain all Chinese stock codes:  http://q.10jqka.com.cn/,
And all China stock indices can be obtained from this website URL:
http://q.10jqka.com.cn/zs/
thanks.
No problem and thank you for the URL. I see it shows 240 pages of stock symbols which will need manual scrapping. I will think of updating the symbol from this website if all other means don't give good result.
The latest Stockalyze should have all the symbols you were looking for. Did you give it a try?
#25
I updated these symbols by bringing missing symbols from the previous version.
But it will be great if a complete symbol list is available from somewhere for Chinese market.
#26
Is there a source from which we can get the correct list of all the symbols for Chinese stock market?
I can use that source to make sure the list is complete and correct. I recently did that for Hong Kong exchange as the data was available from exchange website itself. In case you have a list then please share, I can integrate that with Stockalyze.
#27
Thanks for reporting this error. I will fix them soon.
Is the missing leading zeros are the only problem? Do you see any missing symbol altogether? Your answer will help me fix all the problem for all Stockalyze users.

Thanks.
#28
Hi Albert,
Please download the latest Stockalyze. The symbols of Hong Kong exchange is updated, exactly as listed here: https://www.hkex.com.hk/Market-Data/Securities-Prices/Equities?sc_lang=en.

Please let me know if it solves your issue.

I regret that you had to face this problem. I will rectify it soon.

Hi Albert,
Sorry for responding late but the forum was down and I could only bring it up after updating it to the latest version which took some time.
Regarding your problem, I didn't quite understand your original problem. For the other error, i.e. "Import error: An ASCII date source ...", you can close Stockalyze, rename/delete the previous folder that was used to configure ASCII data source, and start Stockalyze again. This time you can configure the ASCII data source again.

Please let me know if you need any help.
