You are using very old version. Please install latest one. If you don't find symbol you can always add that. Please let me know if you have any problem.

I just tried myself with a fresh installation and it worked for me. I was able to create chart of Reliance and Nifty. I guessed these symbols might be interesting to you. What exact symbols you tried and what error you get?
