I  bought a new lifetime license just now  and copy and pasted my email and transaction number into the registration form. But I keep getting an error message and a rejection.

How  do I fix this problem?

I tried to get the update to run on four or five other laptops. But the program wouldn't pull data from Yahoo. I have no idea why. Meanwhile  --and over the years--  I used up a bunch of my licenses. 

Could I ask you to delete my licenses for all my computers except the current one? Thanks in advance, Charlie

PS. I am SOOOO happy to finally have SA up and running again after months of not being able to use the program due to Yahoo changing its API access (or whatever it did). I'd glad your May 13 update fixed the problem.

The default cash in the paper account is an unrealistic $1 million. But in real life and actual trading, there's no way I'd be making even $1,000 bets on what StockAlyze suggests might be worth buying. $100 bucks is more like it.

Could a feature be added to SA so that users could adjust their bet size downward? (Thanks in advance, Charlie)

It was probably a lot of work on your part to code the systems for trading long and/or short, but it makes the program infinitely more usable.

Every time I poke around in your program and find myself wanting to do something  --e.g., change how the chart looks--  I find that you've already thought of that. All I need to do is left or right click my way through the menus and options and a means of making it happen is there.

It's no secret we're now in a bear market. I should have put more effort into learning how to use SA program to keep myself out of trouble. But I'm correcting that laziness as fast as I can.

If I copy a trading system, edit it to create the conditions for selling short, and then save it, the backtester won't let me select it. I used to be able to select it.

Also, I can't get the TRIX system to work in the current version (2022/04/22). The earlier version had a  problem with TRIX as well. But I was able to correct the coding and now don't remember what I did.

Like many, I've demoed a lot of charting software. STOCKALYZE does what I need to get done, especially now that the results of backtests can be exported.

The 'Buy' signal currently reads "TRIX(14) crosses EMA(9) from below". But the two terms need to be swapped.

TRIX(14) is the 'slow' line, and EMA(9) is the 'fast line. A'buy' signal would occur when the fast line crosses the slow line from below.

To test this is so, apply the as-found version of TRIX to some stocks. No signals will result. Next, make a copy of the as-found TRIX system, and then edit the 'buy' and 'sell' formulas with the needed corrections. Lastly, retest with some stocks. Now signals will happen.

By default, the Force Index indicator plots as an area chart. (Sacha calls it 'mountain' and 'inverted mountain'). Most other separate panel indicators (CCI, Wm% etc) plot as line charts. But it's possible to add the 'mountains' feature to them. So cool! and that's one of the things I like about STOCKALZYE. If you take the time to dig into the program, you'll discover how much it is really capable of doing.

I'd like to export the results of backtests into a spreadsheet. Can this be done?

I installed Stockalyze on my laptop a couple of months ago and registered it.

Today, when I tried to ued the program, I received a message saying, ,"There was a problem with the registration."

I re-registered it, and now things are woreknig again. But one of my remaining licenses was subtracted.  

What to do?
