Hello, the new version loses a lot of Chinese stock market indices, such as the Shanghai Composite Index and many other important data, and the stock code also has problems, such as Ping An Bank Co., Ltd. The stock code is: "000001.SZ", but in the new version of the software in September It is only displayed as "1.SZ", for example, the Shanghai Composite Index sse cannot be found at all in the new version. The previous version did not have this problem. Hope you can fix this, thank you very much.

Please download the latest Stockalyze. The symbols of Hong Kong exchange is updated, exactly as listed here: https://www.hkex.com.hk/Market-Data/Securities-Prices/Equities?sc_lang=en.

The HK stock code used to be a 4 to 5 digit code (e.g. 0001.HK) from Yahoo, however, in build 5-Sept-2022 the format of the Yahoo HK stock code has trimmed the preceding 0 of stock code (e.g 1.HK). This has made stock code which is less than 4 digits failed to load from any chart windows  it also has screwed the portfolio windows some of my positions have disappeared.

Sorry for responding late but the forum was down and I could only bring it up after updating it to the latest version which took some time.
Regarding your problem, I didn't quite understand your original problem. For the other error, i.e. "Import error: An ASCII date source ...", you can close Stockalyze, rename/delete the previous folder that was used to configure ASCII data source, and start Stockalyze again. This time you can configure the ASCII data source again.

Dear Sir,

After updated to the latest build from 5-Sept-2022, all the ASCII data source file listed in the Quote Editor window are all gone. I have tried to add them again in the Setup ASCII data source window but have got the error "Import error: An ASCII date source file for the same country and exchange is already configured."

Please advise how to resolve this.

Sure. But to get to the LITE mode you must have uninstalled Stockalyze or you installed it on new computer. In either case registering again should work. If you get any error please let me know.

A new update of Stockalyze is released that contains the following improvements:

• New data providers are added so that there are more options to get data from the internet.
• Symbol lists updated.
• Save button in Portfolio and Watchlist is added, so that user can explicitly save the changes.
• Many bugs fixed.
• Some new indicators are added, they were requested by Stockalyze users.

Next plan is to support short sell in back testing among others.
