Feature & Enhancement Requests / Re: Create Watchlist from Sca...
Last post by Sacha - April 13, 2026, 03:36:02 PM
Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion — this is a great idea, and I'm happy to share that your watchlist related idea is already available in the latest update 🙂

When you run a scan, you can now add the selected scan results directly to a watchlist with a single click, or even create a new watchlist straight from all the result.

Thanks again for the feedback — suggestions like this help us make Stockalyze more useful for everyone.

Hi Charlie,

Good point — and yes, this has been addressed in the recent update 🙂

You can now configure the initial cash used for backtesting, so you're no longer stuck with the default $1M. Just set the starting capital to whatever fits your style (for example, $1,000 or even less), and position sizes will scale accordingly.

Thanks for raising this — feedback like this really helps make the platform more realistic and useful.

Feature & Enhancement Requests / Re: Composite indicator
Last post by Sacha - April 13, 2026, 03:31:38 PM
Hi Huub,

Thanks for your message — and apologies for the late reply. Good news: some of what you asked for is now available 🙂

1. Formatting composite indicators:
Composite indicators don't inherit line styles (dotted, dashed, colors) from the original indicators. But if your goal is to reuse the same indicators with the same styling, chart **templates** are the best option. Just set up your indicators the way you like, save a template, and apply it to any chart. You can also set a template as the default for new charts.

2. Deleting composite indicators:
This is now possible. In the **Indicator Selection** dialog, open the **Composite Indicators** tab and you'll see the option to delete them.

Also, with the latest update, applying a template no longer overrides the chart timeframe when it's set to Auto.

Thanks again for the suggestions — they genuinely help improve Stockalyze.

News and Updates / New Stockalyze update
Last post by Sacha - April 13, 2026, 03:17:02 PM
Hi everyone,

We've been busy improving Stockalyze over the last few weeks, and here's a quick round-up of what's new and improved.

New Releases & Core Enhancements
Several new updates were released during this cycle, bringing performance improvements, bug fixes, and new capabilities. A key highlight is that trading systems can now use conditions tied to a specific timeframe. We've also added several new trading systems built using this feature. These changes were based on suggestion from a Stockalyze user.

You'll also notice improvements across the board — fixes to histogram highlighting when dropping an indicator on a chart, better color selection in dialogs, and general polish to make things feel smoother.

Scanning, Watchlists & Trading Tools
You can now add scanned stocks directly to a watchlist with a single click, or even create a watchlist directly from your scan results. Thanks to one of our users for suggesting this — it really streamlines the workflow from discovery to analysis.

We've also improved chart templates. For example, templates no longer save a timeframe when Auto is used, and applying a template no longer shows unnecessary pop-ups. Composite indicators can now be deleted, and the initial cash amount used in backtesting can be configured for more realistic simulations. These improvements were also inspired by user suggestions — thank you!

AI & Analysis Improvements
We've started integrating AI capabilities. To begin with, the new AI Analyst Assistant can leverage free AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude to instantly generate chart analysis.

Trend detection has been made more reliable by using a more stable slope-based approach, and we've made several behind-the-scenes improvements to make AI analysis more useful and responsive.

Website & Help Documentation
The website and help documentation have received several updates — better explanations, clearer examples, and refreshed screenshots. This is still ongoing, and we're continuing to expand the documentation to cover more of Stockalyze's capabilities.

Pricing & Availability
We've introduced a simplified and more attractive pricing model for the Pro version, and we're working on making Stockalyze available on more download platforms to make it easier for new users to discover.

Thanks for continuing to support Stockalyze. If you have feedback, feature requests, or notice anything that could be improved, please share — it really helps.

Happy analyzing!

Feature & Enhancement Requests / Measuring tool , Long Position...
Last post by Gd iPas - April 13, 2026, 10:08:06 AM
In the Drawing bar Can we have

- Point to point measuring tool reflecting price change , time and angles

- Long and Short position to mark risk to reward ratio , stop loss and target.

Also angles can be included as a sub-feature in trendlines.

Also Volume profile in intraday charts is getting imperative these days-

- fixed range volume profile
- Anchored volume profile
- Session ( configurable ) volume profile
- GAP and FVG imbalance profile

Also in this day and age , apart from traditional Price action , Smart Money concept indicators are very important.

There is no tool button to bring them back. :)
Please install the latest Stockalyze and your toolbars will be back.
After the reinstall, you can keep playing with the toolbars. If you close again by mistake then you just have to create a new chart window.

Please let me know if it didn't work.

QuoteBut all these aspects being included in some document in future  would be  of great help for the users :-)
Yes, we are updating the help doc.

QuoteAny public roadmap for the great product as of now ?
We had a list of future plans. It is still available here: https://stockalyze.com/future-plans.html. But it is not updated and some of the items have already been added or improved.
There are some items that are in plans but not mentioned in this page. Maybe we will update it.

You're right that the Stock Scanner uses the Trading System, but it only uses the part relevant to what you select:

BUY → Long entry condition
SELL → Long exit condition
SHORT → Short entry
COVER → Short exit

QuoteBoth are connected and are not independent.
They are connected but the connection is only one way, i.e. Stock Scanner uses Trading System but Trading System is not only for scanning stocks, it can also be used for backtesting. When you define a Trading System it is saved for future use. So, even when you have come to define a Trading System from Stock Scanner workflow, later the same Trading System can be used for backtesting as well. So, the definition of Trading System has to be complete.

QuoteIf I ignore the exit rule then there is a popup " Condition for long exit is not defined"

A Trading System in Stockalyze must always be complete (entry + exit), mainly for consistency and backtesting. The fact that you want to use the Trading System for scanning doesn't change that requirement.

QuoteHow do i define a Dummy exit rule ? Can you share a dummy exit rule .... [ Is it like Price > 0 or something else ]
Yes, you can use something simple like Close > 0.

Quote. Also whats the difference between Sell and Short (Buy and Cover )  in terms of Scanning stocks.
The Trading Systems in Stockalyze allows you to define different rules for long entry (BUY) and short exit (COVER), similarly for long exit and short entry. You can chose for them to be same, for example, you can select "Same as SELL" in the tab that defines conditions for SHORT.

Let me know if this clarifies your doubts.
