Absolute Price Oscillator
APO is much like MACD, a trend following momentum oscillator.
INTERPRETATION:
APO can be interpreted in variety of ways:
- Upwards Trend: When APO is moving upwards, the price is in an upwards trend.
- Downwards Trend: When APO is moving downwards, the price is in a downwards trend.
- Upwards Momentum: When APO is positive and moving upwards, the price has upwards momentum and is likely to continue moving upwards.
- Downwards Momentum: When APO is negative and moving downwards, the price has downwards momentum and is likely to continue moving downwards.
- Positive Crossover: When APO crosses above zero, the price is likely to move upwards.
- Negative Crossover: When APO crosses below zero, the price is likely to move downwards.
- Positive Divergence: When price is moving downwards, but the APO is moving upwards, the price is likely to reverse direction and move upwards.
- Negative Divergence: When price is moving upwards, but the APO is moving downwards, the price is likely to reverse direction and move downwards.
