Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / Re: Stock prices
« on: November 08, 2017, 11:34:00 PM »
Thanks for reporting. You are using Yahoo symbols and I was using Google one. I noticed symbols in Yahoo has changed for Canada stocks. We are in the process of renaming the Canada symbols and we will release a hot-fix update soon.
Please stay tuned.

I just plotted chart of OGC and it is working fine. Please see the attached image.
Can you please post the image what you are getting, it will help me understand the problem.
If that won't work I can work on your machine to resolve it. Be assured that your problem will be resolved for sure.

Regards,
Sacha

I see what you mean but relying on last day volume is not something you will probably want. May be you will want to sort on average volume of last few days, and that makes things a bit complicated.
Anyways it's definitely a nice suggestion and we will brainstorm it more.

Thanks,
Sacha

Move your cursor so it hovers over date, for example and then right click... you will MORE columns you can add.... adding volume in your program, for example, would be a big help, along with the sort you had mentioned you were already going to add.

I understand, you want customization of columns. Thanks for clarification. We will think about it.
I didn't get what volume will mean in Find Stock Ideas report. A further explanation will be great.

Thanks,
Sacha

another suggestion... in your indicators, you don't have a  > or equal.. or a < or equal.... you leave out the equal..
I guess you asked about condition operators that are used to define Trading Systems. "Less than or equal" and "greater than or equal" are purposefully left out to keep things simple. Indicator values are floating numbers and so in most cases <= or >= almost mean < or >.

General Discussion / Re: how i update the data every day?
« on: November 07, 2017, 08:38:38 PM »
Thanks for buying Stockalyze.
You don't need to update data explicitly, whenever you create a chart or whenever the data is required for example in backtesting or stock idea finder the data is updated automatically.

Sort on column will be cool and we will add this in next update.
I could not understand the 'add your own columns' part.
Please elaborate.

Thanks,
Sacha

We have a plan to refresh stock lists but you can add your favorite symbol, if missing, on your own. it's actually pretty simple. Please try http://www.stockalyze.com/hlp/manual/topics/managing-symbols.html.

Thanks.

I guess you want to detect candlestick pattern. In the chart hit Ctrl+Shift+9 and select which pattern you want to detect. You can read details here: http://www.stockalyze.com/hlp/manual/topics/candlestick-pattern.html.

Looks like a nice idea.

Unfortunately scrip names of Yahoo and Google don't match. They match only for US and Canada stocks. For rest of the world they differ too much to make them source independent.
In your case to switch from Google to yahoo you can open alert_repo.xml in notepad and replace 'Google' by 'Yahoo!'.
But before you do this you should take backup of the file.  :)

Note: You can type %appdata%\Lunetek\Stockalyze in Run window to go to the directory where you can find the file I talked about.
